How does the program work?
Funded through the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and Department of Rehabilitation Services (DORS), employees receive on-site job coaching and support as needed. The Arc guides program employees into one of three typical employment paths:
- Individual placement – short term on the job training and periodic follow along services for an individual employee.
- Enclave employment – a small group of people directly hired by an employer who need on-going job coaching services on a daily basis. People work at the same facility and share a job coach.
- Mobile crews – a small group of workers and job coaches function as a unified team to complete a contracted job.
The Arc works hard to ensure that people find employment in areas that match their skills and interests.
