On May 8, 2026, The Arc Prince George’s County joined Joint Base Andrews, Prince George’s County Public Schools, and the Department of Rehabilitation Services to celebrate a milestone that belongs to the graduates, their families, and every person who believed in them – the Project SEARCH Graduation Ceremony.
The ceremony opened with the time-honored Presentation of Colors, setting a tone of pride and distinction befitting the occasion. Graduates were introduced to the applause of an audience filled with the faces that matter most – family members, base supporters, and community champions who showed up to bear witness to this moment.
The crowd was then moved by the commencement address delivered by Lt. Col. Kristina B. Eclevi, Commander of the 316th Force Support Squadron, U.S. Air Force, whose encouraging words reminded every graduate that their journey is one of purpose, resilience, and limitless potential.
The seamless execution of the ceremony was a testament to the extraordinary dedication of Arc PG’s own Nahshon Smith, Lavonia, and Toni, who worked tirelessly to craft a memory that graduates and their loved ones will carry for a lifetime.
The energy in the room was unmistakable – a community gathered together, honoring young people who have worked hard, grown tremendously, and are now stepping boldly into the next chapter of their lives in employment and independence.
