Summer 2025 Recreation Club

Out on the Town Recreation Club is a social club for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It provides its members access to a wide array of recreational opportunities that are fun, exciting, and encourage healthy and lasting relationships. This social club is offered throughout the year.

Out on the Town offers a great opportunity for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Hours & Transportation – Club participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the assigned meeting location by the specified time.

If you are using Metro Access, please remember to include the suite number for the meeting location.

* ALL GROUPS MEET AT 1401 MCCORMICK DRIVE, LARGO, MD 20774*

The Arc will provide transportation for members to the activities and dining locations. All club participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the meeting location. Please note that the group will not return for pickup until the designated time has passed. For example, if the group ends at 9:00 p.m., the pickup time should be scheduled for 9:00 p.m.

Fees – The club fee for Out on the Town Summer Session is $450.

These non-refundable fees cover $50 registration deposit required at sign-up, food, activities, staffing and transportation costs. Registration fee and application must be submitted no later than Monday, June 9, 2025. (Full payment due no later than Monday, June 30, 2025).

During outings, club participants are welcome to bring money if they are interested in purchasing more than just a main course and beverage while eating out, or if they wish to purchase souvenirs.

Registration

If you are interested in participating in Out on the Town, please complete and return the registration forms, the Support Needs Checklist and $50 deposit (subtract deposit from total fees due) by Monday, June 9, 2025. Make sure to submit all required forms. Please select the preferred activity(s) you would like to participate in and every attempt will be made to honor your selection(s). If you would like to participate in more than one activity, clearly indicate your selections (fees apply per activity). In the past, Out on the Town has filled up quickly; in order to get placed in your preferred group(s), please submit all required materials as soon as possible. Failure to complete the required information in its entirety can result in the person not being able to participate.

Age Requirement

Out on the Town is a social group for adults with disabilities. Therefore, the minimum age requirement to participate is 21 years old. Weather Policy Every attempt will be made to notify club participants of cancellations. Club outings cancelled due to weather conditions will be rescheduled. While every effort will be made to adhere to the activity schedule, last-minute changes may occur.
