Connie joined The Arc as the Chief Programs Officer in April 2020. She brings to The Arc a diverse background in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), Housing, Children’s and Family Services, and working with Senior Citizens. Most recently, she served as an Administrator with the Fairfax Falls-Church Community Services Board. In this role, she was responsible for developing and overseeing county Community Partnerships and special Residential and Facilities Development Initiatives for priority populations which included homeless, veterans, individuals with intellectual disabilities, those with substance use disorders, and people with mental illness. She also oversaw the County’s directly operated Group Homes and Community Living settings for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Prior to working in Fairfax County, she worked as Director of Division Operations for Volunteers of America Chesapeake, Inc. Overseeing Operations, Program Development, and Compliance for I/DD programs in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Connie has a Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies from the State University of Buffalo. She also has a Masters Degree in Educational Foundations from State College of New York at Buffalo.
