Provides a list of contractors and information on technology

are funded by a Community Block grant. They also can
provide grab bars and other equipment to make a home

Maryland Department of Housing & Community
To be eligible for the Homeownership for Individuals with
Disabilities Program, one of the borrowers must have
a disability, or a child of one of the borrowers must have a disability
and reside with one of the borrowers.
This guide has been created to help individuals living with
disabilities, and their family members, in the process of buying
a home of their own. Here you can learn more about the five important
steps in buying a home and about financial assistance programs
that are available for you living with disabilities, who want
to buy a home.
Offers a supportive housing program for adults with
disabilities. The residences are called Certified Adult
Residential Environment (CARE) homes and are usually
private homes that accept placement of people with disabilities
through Project Home. Offered through the Department
of Social Services.
8 and Rental Assistance Programs
Gives families help with their monthly rent. Both programs
are currently closed for lack of funding in Prince George’s
County. Call to get onto the waiting list. Offered through
the Department of Social Services.

Offers special programs to assist people with and without
disabilities in becoming homeowners.
