Do you need help advocating for appropriate special education services for your child? Come to The Arc on November 19th from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm for a Free Special Education Clinic and receive Advocacy Assistance and Information. Appointments are necessary for individual attorney/paralegal meetings.
Please call MDLC at 800-233-7201, ext. 2516 or MCIE at 410-859-5400, ext. 118, by November 15th to make an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed.
· Representatives from Prince George’s County Public Schools will be there to answer questions and hear your concerns.
· Community and family resources will be available.

On October 20th, The Arc honored Robert Ziepolt with a Lifetime Achievement Award as part of its Countywide Awards Program. First President of The Arc Prince George’s County, Bob has been a stalwart advocate for the rights of people with developmental disabilities for nearly 60 years, when his own daughter Elsie was about to enter public school.

The Arc's new committee structure allows members and other interested citizens to participate actively in the on-going operations of The Arc. We want to hear your voice! Our next committee night will take place on November 17th at 6:30 pm at The Arc Building. Join us for a light supper and then share your ideas on: Governmental Affairs, Family and Community Services, Residential Services, Employment and Day Services, Resource Development, and Human Resources. Four committees, Board Leadership, Finance, Education, and Human Rights will be meeting at times scheduled by the committee members. The Equipment Demonstration and Loan Program allows you to try out a device and see if it fits your needs before you buy it. A limited number of devices may also be funded through our Low Intensity Support Services (LISS).
