Arts
Coordinator
The Arc Prince George’s County seeks a dynamic and innovative
professional arts educator to work with individuals with intellectual
and developmental disabilities at The Arc’s three day programs.
This Coordinator will be responsible for developing a comprehensive
creative arts program within each center. The candidate selected
will develop activities in the areas of the visual arts and music
that are age appropriate and are adaptable for full or partial
participation by the program participants. A portion of this person’s
job will be directly involved in program instruction, and a portion
will be involved in recruiting volunteer artists and musicians
to offer their services within the center. Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
proven relevant experience required, including experience working,
or familiarity with people with intellectual and developmental

Personal
Development Coordinator
The Arc Prince George’s County seeks a dynamic and innovative
professional personal development coordinator to work with individuals
with intellectual and developmental disabilities at The Arc’s
three day programs. This Coordinator will be responsible for developing
a comprehensive personal development program within each center.
To meet this goal, the coordinator will develop interpersonal
education and self-advocacy support groups, literacy/creative
expression classes, personal wellness classes, PC/mobile device
instruction, and assistive technology services, among others.
A portion of this person’s job will be directly involved in program
instruction, and a portion will be involved in recruiting volunteers
and other resources to further the program’s capabilities. Bachelor’s
Degree preferred; proven relevant experience required, including
experience working, or familiarity with people with intellectual

Fitness
Coordinator
The Arc Prince George’s County seeks a dynamic and innovative
professional fitness educator to work with individuals with intellectual
and developmental disabilities at The Arc’s three day programs.
This Coordinator will be responsible for developing a comprehensive
fitness program within each center. The candidate selected will
develop activities in the areas of walking, hiking, dance, yoga,
aerobic dance, weight lifting, wheelchair fitness, and other forms
of physical fitness. A portion of this person’s job will be directly
involved in program instruction, and a portion will be involved
in recruiting volunteer fitness instructors and healthcare educators
to offer their services within the center. Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
proven relevant experience required, including experience working,

Live-In
Community Living Supervisor with Certified Nursing Assistants

The
Live-In Community Living Supervisor with C.N.A. certification
is responsible for supporting adults with intellectual and developmental
disabilities in their residence and the community whose medical
needs are complex. A minimum 2 years of experience working with
individuals with disabilities and a valid CNA license for the
state of Maryland is required. Additionally the ideal candidate
will have supervisory experience preferably in a residential program
and a minimum of 2 years of C.N.A. experience. Responsibilities
will include providing total direct care, supervision to staff,
assure household meets or exceed all standards for delivery of
quality care and adheres to The Arc’s policies and procedures.
Current driver’s license and reliable vehicle required. The position

Bachelor’s

working with individuals with disabilities in a care-giving setting
in addition to a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. Must
have valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable
vehicle. The house manager works Monday through Friday, 40 hours
per week, flexible schedule based on the needs of the household.
The position requires responding to emergencies during and after
hours, and on weekends as needed. The CLS is responsible for supporting
individuals in the home, the community, and ensuring that the
household meets or exceeds all standards for quality services.
Responsibilities also include providing direct supervision for
the staff in the household assuring they adhere to The Arc policies

Practical Nurse at Bridges
The Arc Prince George's County has 1 LPN openings in the Adult
Day Program in Largo. The successful candidate will provide support
to adults with chronic medical conditions and complex physical
disabilities. Excellent clinical skills, two years full-time experience,
current MD nursing license required. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
while presenting self in a professional, confident and caring

Program
Specialist – Bridges Adult Day Program
Provide
creative means of implementing program activities and direct supervision
to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. The
successful candidate will be imaginative, energetic and full of
enthusiasm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
developing IP’s, maintaining main and site books, maintaining
quarterly reports, supervising staff, coordinating and/or assisting
in the implementation and supervision of community outings, and
ensuring the health and safety of the program participants at

Program
Instructor
The Program Instructor is responsible for supporting
individuals with multiple disabilities in an adult day program
located in Laurel, Maryland. The program is seeking an energetic
and creative individual with the ability to support program participants
while maintaining an awareness of individual needs. Responsibilities
will include providing various degrees of hands-on-assistance
with daily activities, personal care and mobility. Requires H.S./GED
diploma and willing to lift 25-160 pounds. The position is from

Support

communication skills, and appropriate social interactions in a
classroom setting and competitive employment. Help with the facilitation

Aquatics
Coordinator Bridges at Largo
The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for the overall organization
and implementation of the adapted aquatics activities program
for Bridges Adult Day Program. The Aquatics Coordinator will promote
safety and mobility in the water for adults with multiple disabilities
who require physical assistance in the water. As well as, assist
with personal care needs. The successful candidate will have strong
interpersonal and communication skills, be innovative, high energy
and enthusiastic, comfortable working with individuals with disabilities
in a swimming pool, function independently, have personal integrity,
and the ability to work effectively with staff. Computer skills

Nursing Assistants
The CNA is responsible for supporting adults with developmental
disabilities whose medical needs are complex. The CNA provides
assistance to the individuals in the areas of delegated medical
treatment, personal care, meal preparation and feeding, repositioning,
lifting and transferring. Must have a valid CNA license for the
state of Maryland.
Residential
Counselors
The Residential Counselor is responsible for supporting program
participants in a community-based home. Responsibilities include
assisting with all aspects of daily living administration of medication,
meal preparation, household maintenance and providing a connection
to the community through recreation planning, transportation,
accompaniment to community-based events and places.
Community
Companions
The Community Companion is responsible for supporting individuals
with intellectual/developmental disabilities in collaboration
with their family. A Community Companion supports activities of
daily living in the home as well as, provides a connection to
the community by participating in meaningful social and recreational
activities. Reimbursement for mileage and recreational expenses
is provided.
