SPRIT CLUB: Health and Fitness Program

SPIRIT (Social Physical Interactive Respectful Inclusive Teamwork) Club is a weekly health and fitness program for adults with special abilities and needs that provides its members with exercise instruction, healthy snacks and take-home portfolios with nutritional guidance. This program will be held at The Arc Prince George's County Administrative Building on McCormick Drive every Monday. Angel Walk

The Parents of Children with Down syndrome (PODS) of Prince George’s County is happy to host its 3rd Annual "Angel Walk". This will be a "short walk" around the adjacent soccer fields by the community center, fun activities for the kids and a few guest speakers as well. The proceeds of the Angel Walk will benefit future PODS services in the areas of educational workshops and outreach to new families, to name a couple. F.A.C.E.'s Place is a program offering a fun-filled environment personailized to meet the needs of children and teenagers with autism and other developmental and intellectual disabilities. Family members and caregivers will have an opportunity to enjoy a brief period of restorative relief, knowing that their children are in a safe, loving, understanding, and accepting environment. Activities include music therapy, dance, arts & Crafts, sensory play, social time, and indoor/outdoor play. The Special Education Coalition of Prince George's County presents the Special Education Clinic and Resource Fair. Learn how to advocate for appropriate special education services for your child. Representatives from Prince George's County Public Schools, as well as other community and family resources will be available.
