SPRIT CLUB: Health and Fitness Program

SPIRIT (Social Physical Interactive Respectful Inclusive Teamwork) Club is a weekly health and fitness program for adults with special abilities and needs that provides its members with exercise instruction, healthy snacks and take-home portfolios with nutritional guidance. This program will be held at The Arc Prince George's County Administrative Building on McCormick Drive every Monday. F.A.C.E.'s Place Respite Care Center

F.A.C.E.'s Place is a program offering a fun-filled environment personailized to meet the needs of children and teenagers with autism and other developmental and intellectual disabilities. Family members and caregivers will have an opportunity to enjoy a brief period of restorative relief, knowing that their children are in a safe, loving, understanding, and accepting environment. Activities include music therapy, dance, arts & Crafts, sensory play, social time, and indoor/outdoor play. Project Access: Supporting Successful Transitions

This half day workshop for parents and professionals shares tips from experts on supporting the successful transition of students wit hdisabilities from high school to college. Some information that will be provided are county specific resources, what new changes have occurred with the LISS program, application assitance, and much more! Light refreshments will be served. All information is the same at every assistance session for Round 2, so if you can't make the Prince George's County session, feel free to look over the flyer here for other locations and for more information.
