Burial Accounts

It is always wise to have money set aside in the event of an untimely death. Medicaid will allow you to establish a burial account that contains up to $1,500 that is not counted toward your family member’s personal assets. Contact your bank, the Social Security Administration or the Medicaid office for more information.
